Our Mission
Design & Construction Services (D&CS) is responsible for implementing campus planning parameters for the UC Irvine campus. In addition to managing construction projects, D&CS staff develop financial strategies, undertake architectural design, review plans and specifications, manage environmental reviews, prepare and negotiate construction contracts, coordinate staging plans, and manage construction. D&CS manages these responsibilities for a university building program that is among the largest in the nation.
Project Management
Projects managed by D&CS are undertaken in direct support of academic program priorities. Although most projects evolve from master planning efforts that reflect a multi-year vision, capital projects are affected by the availability of funding, development opportunities, and changing needs. As a result, the level of planning and construction activity varies over time and D&CS staffing, budget, structure, functions, and focus are regularly adjusted in response to such circumstances.

UCI Construction Projects
The Construction Project Summary provides a listing of UCI capital projects that are currently under construction, projects currently bidding, and projects pending award. The second page provides a summary of projected future projects that are planned for design and construction in the next 36 months.
